The Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy was introduced in 2002. It has since been a leader with the Doctor of Pharmacy program. This particular program is religious-based as well, following the guidance of the Seventh Day Adventist Christian beliefs. The goal of the program is to provide students with the necessary information for them to take part in caring for the entire individual in need.

The Doctor of Pharmacy degree is a four-year program through the Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. Those that have completed a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in some area of science such as chemistry are often considered first. There is a list of prerequisite classes that have to be completed prior to applying. The overall GPA must be 2.75 or better. All prerequisite courses must be passed with a C or better.

The program offered at the Loma Linda University is fully accredited. As a result it will be accepted by higher levels of education facilities as well as employers. If your goal is to be able to receive a Doctor of Pharmacy but at the same time do it with a college that takes your religion into consideration as well, then this could prove to be the perfect place for you. While it is recommended that you do take the PCAT, it isn’t a requirement for admission here.

Approximately 100 new students are accepted into the program each year. Since this is considered to be a private school rather than a public one, you should take a close look at financial resources. Some of the methods of paying for your education won’t be offered for this particular type of facility.
