The education that all individuals entering the professional field of medicine have to undertake is rigorous, comprehensive, and incredibly important because students essentially end up with millions of peoples’ lives in their hands over the years. As a result, it should come as no surprise that there is a professional association for the colleges that offer an education in pharmacy. The American Association Of Colleges Of Pharmacy, or AACP, currently represents pharmacy education within the United States and acts as an advocate for the community that comes underneath it.

The American Association Of Colleges Of Pharmacy is available to help all schools and colleges offering pharmacy undergraduate programs that are fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, which encompasses all states bar two by default. The two exceptions are Alaska and Delaware because those states do not currently have a pharmacy school. This gives the American Association Of Colleges Of Pharmacy a good deal of control over the standard of education offered to make sure that all individuals graduating from such programs have a high standard of knowledge, an excellent education behind them, and the skills to be able to practice pharmacy in the real world so that they can help to save lives.

The American Association Of Colleges Of Pharmacy does not shirk responsibility beyond the actual education of budding pharmacists, though. It also takes control of the state licensing process and incorporates new discoveries and research into programs to make sure that pharmacy education within the United States is the best in the world. With such decision-making power, and indeed the level the body has had since its establishment in 1900, it is no wonder that the American Association Of Colleges Of Pharmacy offers such comprehensive and wide-ranging programs and activities at all levels of health education, so take advantage of all its offerings.
